DB Window Cleaning Ltd.

About us

Who Are We?

We are a family company that has been cleaning windows for nearly 40 years. We bring a wealth of experience and aim to provide 100% satisfaction to our customers. We have cleaned windows for major customers such as Tralee General Hospital which is a 25 day job and also cleaned windows at the smallest of homes. Currently the majority of our work is residential and is located in the County Kildare area in the towns of Monasterevin, Kildare, Newbridge, Naas, Sallins, Johnstown, Kill and Rathcoole. We still travel to County Limerick at times as well.

How do you clean the windows?

For many years we used the traditional method of cleaning windows, climbing ladders and using squeegees and cloths. With the advent of the pure water window cleaning system we converted over to a van mounted system that carries 600 litres of purified water. The tank is connected to a pump, a 100m electric hose reel and extendable pole and brush. We brush the dirty window with pure water and the brush and then crucially we rinse the dirty water off the glass and this leaves just pure water left on the glass. As it's pure water and all minerals have been removed from the water, there is no need to dry the glass. The water just evaporates away and leaves no marks. So this method wouldn't work with tap water as it would leave little spots which are mineral deposits but as there are no minerals in the water, the water evaporates away and leaves the window spotless

.

This pure water cleaning system removes the need to climb ladders and so it's safer, easier on the body and also more efficient, keeping costs lower despite the higher initial cost of the system.

Here's a 2 minute video that explains the process.

Is your business growing?

Yes. We employed our first full time operator starting in April, 2024. There is potential for more growth and so we are expanding and taking on more customers at the moment. We now have more than 500 customers and are adding more every week.

Do you offer other services?

Yes. We have recently purchased a Gutter Vac and are now offering a gutter emptying service. The industrial strength vacuum is able to suck out the contents of your gutter while the operator is standing on the ground. So this method is incredibly safer than putting a ladder up against the guttering. There is a camera attached to help with the effective cleaning of the gutter that also can be used to take photos or video of the empty gutter to prove a thorough job has been done.

A blocked gutter can quickly allow water to infiltrate into the house and cause a lot of expensive damage. Also a lack of maintenance of the gutter system could invalidate your insurance and so regular emptying of the gutter is essential. We recommend our annual service for peace of mind.

What is your Unique Selling Point or USP?

I was visiting a relative in California and I noticed that his gardeners would arrive and start the work in the garden without asking him. They would work away, mow the lawn and cut the hedges and then they would leave. They wouldn't collect money at the end of the job or even knock on the door. The idea is that a service has been requested and agreed, the job is done, the invoice is sent electronically and then the payment is triggered either by direct debit or by debit/credit card payment. The customer hasn't had to do anything other than ensuring that the funds are in place for payment. This method really cuts down on admin for the window cleaner and is zero stress for the customer. This method also speeds up the work of the window cleaner and therefore helps to keep prices low.

Everyone works hard these days and people don't really want to spend their weekends climbing ladders or leaning out of windows to clean them. So the service we offer enables us to clean windows efficiently and collect the money electronically and this saves time and money and helps to keep prices fair while allowing a successful business to be built and to pay employees a good wage.
